Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how DAD — Dash Auto Download (“DAD”, “the App”), a Windows application and license service published by Nogueira Driver Development LTDA, a company registered in Brazil and doing business as Overcut Academy (“we”, “us”, “our”), handles your information. We collect only what we need to deliver your license and enforce your subscription: your email, your license key and plan, and a hashed identifier of the laptop(s) and dashes you activate. The racing data DAD downloads from your dashes stays on your own computer — it is never sent to us. We don't sell your data.
1. Information we collect
- Email address — provided at checkout, used to deliver your license key, send renewal/billing notices, and respond to support.
- License & subscription details — your license key, plan tier, billing period, issue and expiry dates, and active/revoked status.
- Laptop activation identifier — when you activate DAD, the App sends a one-way hashed fingerprint derived from your computer (e.g. machine GUID and hostname). We use it solely to enforce the number of laptops your plan allows. We cannot reverse it to identify your hardware.
- Dash identifiers — identifiers (such as MAC address or serial) of the dashes DAD connects to, counted against your plan's dash limit.
- Operational logs — standard server logs (timestamps, license check requests) used to run and secure the service.
2. Payment information
Payments and subscriptions are processed securely on our behalf by our payment provider Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number. Stripe shares with us your email, the plan you bought, and your subscription status so we can issue and maintain your license. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
3. What we do NOT collect
DAD does not upload your session or telemetry data. The .xrk / .xrz files DAD downloads from your dashes are written only to folders on your own computer and never transmitted to us. We do not collect your location, contacts, or general-purpose analytics, and we have no advertising.
4. Service providers
We use a small set of processors to run the service:
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing (privacy).
- Render — hosting for the license server (privacy).
- Supabase — database storing license records (privacy).
- Resend — transactional email delivery (privacy).
- Cloudflare — DNS, TLS, and app download delivery (privacy).
5. How long we keep it
We keep your license and billing records for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, accounting, and support obligations. You can ask us to delete your personal data (see below); note that some records may be retained where required by law.
6. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal data we hold about you, and you may object to certain processing. Email support@overcutacademy.com and we'll respond within a reasonable time. To stop billing, cancel your subscription; to release a laptop or dash slot, deactivate it in the App or contact us.
7. Security
License data is stored in a managed database with encrypted transport (HTTPS/TLS) between the App, our server, and our providers. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit what we collect specifically to reduce risk.
8. Children
DAD is a professional tool for racing teams and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
9. Changes
If we make material changes, we'll update the “Last updated” date above and post the new version at this URL. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
