Frequently asked questions
How do I unlock all 8 stopwatches?
Tap + ADD STOPWATCH on the home screen. If you’re on the free tier, this opens the BestLap Pro upgrade screen with a 7-day free trial.
How do I cancel my BestLap Pro subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through Apple. Open iOS Settings → [your Apple ID] → Subscriptions → BestLap Pro → Cancel Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period.
If you cancel during the free trial at least 24 hours before it ends, you will not be charged.
I subscribed on another device but the app shows me as Free. What do I do?
Open the app, go to the Settings tab, and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you’re signed in with the same Apple ID you used to subscribe.
Where is my data stored? Is it backed up?
All session data lives in a private SQLite database on your device. We do not upload anything to the cloud. If you uninstall the app or switch devices without exporting, your sessions are lost.
To save a session permanently, finish the session and use the Export PDF or Export CSV options to share the file to email, AirDrop, or cloud storage.
I lost my session history after updating. Can you recover it?
We have no access to your data — it lives only on your device. Try the iOS “Restore from Backup” flow if you have an iCloud or iTunes backup of your phone from before the issue. If not, the data is unfortunately unrecoverable.
Why is the app so dark?
The dark theme is optimized for outdoor visibility in bright sunlight at the track. You can switch to light mode in Settings → Theme.
Can I use BestLap on iPad?
Yes — BestLap is a universal app and runs on both iPhone and iPad.
Is BestLap available on Android?
Not yet. Android is on the roadmap. Drop us an email if you’d like to be notified when it launches.
